Every Picture Story Says Something...

whether you want it to or not.

In this exercise, you are learning how to control the story.

You will learn how to sequence images.

You will learn how to control light.

You will learn how to control shapes. You will learn about cropping.

You will probably learn how to control your anger at your teacher. (Some of you will fail.)

After you choose your five photos and put them in order, you will learn how to size the images for the internet. You will learn about resolution and pixels. Good luck!

To learn more about photo stories, go to Life Magazine, Magnum, and the College Photography of the Year photo story section video and photo story.

If you are looking for more inspiration, try this one, by Liz Baylen.

This assignment will help you when you create story boards for videos later in the year... and remember, every photo tells a story, even if you do not try.
